2 and 3 Year Old Class

The class started their "Lord's Prayer" books this week with Pam Kirk, and it went very well. They will be doing a page a week until it is completed and then  the parents can fill in the necessary pictures with  their child at their convenience.

Also, as the children are not able to play outside  anymore, please try to bring a 5 minute plan, puzzles, books, a special coloring page, etc.  that can be  incorporated into each weeks' schedule.

And a quick note about snacks/lunches...
If your child's lunch includes any sticky food, make sure to include a moist wipe.

3 AND 4 YEAR OLD CLASS

What a great class! On Sunday, September 25, I was the teacher for the 3&4 yr-old class, and we had an exciting time. The children had their snack; then we played some active games with balls and hula hoops, followed by some listening games (i.e. “the teacher says touch your nose”, etc…). We sang some ‘bouncy’ songs, and then a calmer one, before we moved on to our flannel story.
The flannel story time is a good time to pass out prizes for sitting still and listening to help them prepare to place their flannel piece on the board when the correlating part of the story for that piece is read. The children colored a picture and had lunch, played animal and Bible charades, and then I let them run around the table until I called out “STATUE.” They then had to stop and be still; the first one to stop and the one who was the most still got an M&M.
The children in this class are eager to help, and there are lots of ways to encourage them, such as letting them pass out and collect papers or flannel pieces, collect garbage, or move chairs for other children, and so on. I am going to create a list of some indoor games and activities for them. If you’d like to contribute, please e-mail your ideas to snyderfamily7@comcast.net.
